At NWspca Welfare Centre, our mission is powered entirely by a dedicated team of Volunteer Animal Shelter Gorey volunteers. With approximately 100 individuals generously donating their time and energy, our organisation thrives on compassion and commitment.

Our volunteers contribute in many essential ways, including:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the Society.
Caring for the animals in our shelter.
Assisting in our charity shop.
Providing foster homes for animals in need.
Supporting fundraising efforts.

Your generosity helps us at Volunteer Animal Shelter Gorey provide vital care and support for animals in need through Animal Rescue Gorey. Every donation goes directly toward rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals, as well as funding essential programs like neutering, microchipping, and cruelty investigations. We are fully transparent about how funds are used, and together we can give these animals a second chance at life and the loving homes they deserve.

What types of animals does the NWSPCA care for?

We primarily care for cats and dogs, but we also provide support and advice for other animals when possible.

Can I visit the kennels and cattery to see the animals available for adoption?

Yes, our Kennels and Cattery are open every day at the following times:
9:00–10:30 AM, 2:00–3:30 PM, and 6:00–7:30 PM.

How can I make a donation to support NWSPCA?

You can make a donation through our bank account, PayPal link, or by visiting our charity shop on Rafter Street. Every contribution helps us care for the animals.

What is the process for adopting a pet?

The adoption process involves filling out an application, discussing the suitability of the pet with our team, and a brief home check to ensure the pet will be in a safe environment.

Please be aware that not all of our animals will be in the shelter , some will be in foster homes.

You get to take the animal on a trail
Adoption form and €100 homing fee
